The Eye Sling W2004 is a two-layer sewn sling with an eye and built-in wear indicator, made from two webbing components — one inserted into the other. The outer hollow webbing protects an inner red load-bearing strap. If the outer webbing becomes damaged, the red inner strap becomes visible, immediately warning the user of the hazard and the need to stop using the sling.
Even with outer webbing damage, the sling can still hold 22 kN, though SINGING ROCK recommends taking a damaged eye sling out of service immediately.
The Eye Sling must be used as a component of a fall arrest system. It's tested to EN 354 (lanyards) and EN 795B (anchor devices). Eye colour varies by length for quick identification, and the sling is also available in an all-black version.
