SALYis a lanyard for Helicopter Hoist Operators.

Its main function is to secure the operator during helicopter hoist operations.

  • SALYis connected to the operator's harness with an Autoblock carabiner (3 movements) and to the helicopter ceiling (safety point) with a TANGO 360 high visibility aluminum Double Gate carabiner safety system.
  • The aluminum swivel allows the lanyard to rotate as the operator moves throughout the cabin, avoiding twists in the lanyard.
  • SALYis also equipped with innovative safety devices:
  • overload indicator on the swivel joint of the connector to signal the integrity and performance of the lanyard during high-rate acceleration under loadQuick Release System to ensure safe evacuation of the operator in case of emergencies like helicopter ditching or crash. The 2-action Quick Release System is easy to reach and can work both under load, or without tension on the lanyard, and can be opened with one hand

  • SALYis versatile and not only dedicated to Hoist Operators, but could have other applications for helicopter cabin crews.
